22-day-old among eight family members test positive in Jammu | KNO

Pulwama, May 21 (KNO): At least eight family members including a 22-day-old boy from Raipur Satwari area of Jammu were on Thursday tested positive for Novel Coronavirus, thus becomes the youngest COVID-19 patient from the Jammu division. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the infant along with his seven other family members were tested positive for novel Coronavirus from virology Lab SKIMS and is undergoing treatment at Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Medical Superintendent Gandhi Nagar hospital Dr Baghat told KNO that his family members had visited Preet Nagar Jammu after the death of their relative who was tested positive for virus after his death. Dr Baghat added that contact history with the family of deceased person is said to be the source of virus for Satwari family. He further stated that the baby who is just 22-days-old was only 15-day-old when his samples were taken for the testing—(KNO)
